Time to catch up on website updates while we have a couple of days of wet and windy weather here in Bulgaria. If you visit www.thetravelbug.org the main thing you will notice is that there are only a handful of properties listed for sale. These are basically 3 or 4 of mine and a couple for friends. Other than that I intend to concentrate on making the site for advice and help only and having a private sales listing section to cover costs of the site.

So as summer draws to a end, I have reduced the price of 3 of the houses I have listed for sale in an effort to sell these before I head to France and start travelling again. The bungalow with 2000sqm and small outbuildings has been reduced to 7,000 Euros, the 2 bedroom red brick house with 1900sqm to 9,500 Euros and the character house with 1500sqm and separate annex building to 9,500 Euros.

If these do not sell in the next month or so, then I will simply lock them up for winter and have someone check on them and hold off any sale until next year. Things are looking promising for prices to start rising again and there is renewed interest in th rural sector of the Bulgarian property market, particularly with properties at the cheaper end. But if you are looking for a small holiday home or simply investment properties to sit on then you can grab yourself a bargain now and you will benefit from the improvement in the property market here over the next year or two.
